1. PREPARATIONS
Materials needed: - CARD READER - used in reading various memory stick - MEMORY STICK - used in storing files and various data like video, music, and etc. (the memory stick of mobile phone) 2. PRECAUTIONS
Do's and Dont's during the process: - Do not disengage the memory stick during synchronization. It may cause data corruption - Do not detach the card reader from the computer during the process. It may cause distortion and affect the devices engaged. - Follow the proper removal of the card reader. Safely remove the memory stick. 3. TRANSFER PROCEDURE
- Connect the card reader to the computer - Insert the memory stick into the card reader (the memory stick file will appear as a removable device in "My Computer") - Locate the downloaded video and copy - Open "My Computer" - Access the memory stick and paste video to the appropriate folder (some mobile phones may require video files in order that it will work on video phone browser and that it may be detected ___________________________________________________________________________ List of mobile phone brands and the appropriate video folder: NOKIA Copy and paste to the desired folder (almost all Nokia phones does not require a specific folder for videos) SONY Sony Ericsson phones usually has two different OS (Operating system): ERICSSON (1) UIQ OS which can be found in Sony Ericsson PDA handsets, ex. P910i P990, (2) SE OS which can be found in standard Sony Ericsson mobile phones, ex. w800i, w850,t650. Placing video files depends on the OS of the unit. UIQ OS - Copy and paste to desired folder (almost all Nokia phones does not require a specific folder for videos) SE OS - Copy the video files to this path :/mssemc/mediafiles/videos LG Copy and paste to desired folder SAMSUNG Copy the video files to this path :/videos MOTOROLA Copy the video files to this path :/mobile/videos ___________________________________________________________________________ - Go to Programs, select the File Explorer or the video browser/player and open the video file that has been copied 4. POINTERS: The following are some pointers on how to locate appropriate video folder: - Open "My computer" - Access the memory stick - Click Search on windows or Press CTRL+F - Make sure to select "Search for Hidden Files" , video folder may sometimes be hidden - To find "Search for Hidden Files", upon pressing "CRTL+F", click on all files and folders, and select on more Advanced Options. Choose the checkbox for "search hidden files and folders" - Close the search box and open it again - Press CRTL+F to open it again - Click on the very first choice which is "Pictures, Music, or Video" then then choose "Video" - Dont type anything on the search query. Just select "Video On", then click "Search" - All videos will appear on "Search", surely the appropriate video folder contains the video footage that has been recorded so try to look for the video. Upon locating, right click on the found videos and select "Open Containing Folder" - The folder containing the video is now the appropriate one. Open and paste the video into this folder
